Shade Plants
Less sun doesn’t mean less garden.
Shade-loving flowers and shrubs can add foliage, texture and seasonal color to areas that don’t receive all-day direct sun.
Selection changes with deliveries and the season. Visit the nursery for the most current plants and sizes.

Not all shade is the same.
Morning sun, bright filtered light and deep afternoon shade can support very different plant choices.
Morning sun
Gentler early light can open up more flowering choices than a spot with almost no direct sun.
Bright shade
Areas under open tree canopies or covered patios may still receive plenty of useful ambient light.
Deeper shade
For darker areas, foliage, texture and form often become more important than constant bloom.

We’ll help you figure out what kind of shade you have.
A photo taken at a few times of day can help us understand the light and point you toward better-fitting plants.
